REFLECTION

Experience

Throughout the 14 weeks, I got to be exposed to many new things with several obstacles along the way. There were times where I felt lost as I didn’t know what to do to further develop my designs, but I’m glad that I continued to stay determined to improve on my work with the help of the feedbacks given by Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul. Overall, this class was a good experience for me as I got to widen my knowledge on typography which will be beneficial to me on my journey to become a designer. 

Observation

With this class coming to an end, I observed that I started to have a bigger appreciation towards the works I see that includes typography such as posters and books, as I know that a lot of thought and consideration is put into every single piece of work. I also noticed that whenever I'm creating an artwork that includes typography, I always think back about what I've learned through the weeks of being in this class and apply to whatever it is I am doing.

Findings

As the week goes by, I found myself gaining interest in borrowing typography related books from the library as I got to read up about various contents and look at many creative works by designers that definitely gave me ideas and inspirations which also helped improve my typography skills. I also noticed that I came into this class without knowing much on typography but I can gladly say that I'll be walking out of this class with more knowledge gained, along with room for improvement in the upcoming advanced typography class.
